The most people and the most houses of any other county in the state except Mecklenburg, Wake County's housing market sets the tone for not only the Triangle, but the entire half of the state.
If Raleigh is in a slump, that spills out to surrounding counties.
If they're experiencing a boom then so does Durham, Orange, and the other counties surrounding it. Luckily, Raleigh's market is so booming that HGTV is shooting many shows around here to take advantage of all the buzz.
In case you've been living under a rock, neighborhoods in Raleigh, Cary, and Apex are experiencing their best real estate markets in years with many homes getting multiple offers and selling in just days for well over asking price.
As Wake goes, so goes the Triangle. So many transactions happened in the county that it accounted for 70% of all the closings so far this spring. And I don't mean to repeat myself here but you can see by the above stats that it's good news across the board. More closings, selling quicker, and for more money. That all points to massive demand.
